Nestle utilizes specialized material handling equipment in producing various types of candy for it's Willy Wonka brand. The company was looking to replace the roughly 10-year-old dumpers it was using on their panning lines in its Itasca, Illinois factory. However, the manufacturer they had initially purchased them from was no longer making the product.

Having already successfully delivered on a multiple pallet inverter project at the Itasca facility, Nestle was familiar with Cherry's Industrial Equipment and reached out to us to see if we could provide a new stainless steel drum dumper suited to their application. Although we had never built a drum dumper like the customer described, it was clear the mechanics of the unit were similar to our line of 90° Tippers.

Additional enhancements to the Drum Dumper included stainless steel casters, handles and dual heavy duty floor locks for improved safety and maneuverability. A marine 2-part epoxy coasted frame and legs also offer increased resistance to moisture and chemicals for extended product life. From initial contact and sales consultation to site visits, factory acceptance testing, delivery and implementation, Cherry's Industrial stayed in close communication with Nestle and within the projected timeline.
